On October 7th, Trisha Paytas posted a video to her YouTube channel called "I am Transgender (Female to Male)" and it is very confusing. Trisha Paytas is a YouTuber that just by looking at her YouTube page you can tell she is an interesting character. From her sexy mukbangs (video with eating food while answering questions) to her breakdowns on her kitchen floor and talking trash about other YouTubers you could say she is a fascinating individual.
Trisha Paytas has come out as bisexual, lesbian and now transgender. Her controversial video for this week, she states that she is a gay man drag queen. In her 15 minutes video, it just seems to be explaining that she is attracted to gay men. I don't think she understands what a trans person is. Transgender is defined as one that does not identify with their birth sex, according to Google. Paytas states that "Do I identify as being transgender? 100% Do I identify with my natural-born gender? 1000%" and from this statement, she continues to say she is a gay man because she hates straight men. She explains that she hates straight men because of there over-masculine energy and identify more with how gay men are and like them more. This whole video is filled with a lot of stereotypes about gay men and females like that she does identify with females because she is not catty or competitive and hates to wear makeup and do her hair. But from a lot of her previous video from this one, she is in full makeup and gets your hair professional done each week.
Many views have been saying that she might have gender or body dysphoria. According to the American Psychiatric Association, gender dysphoria is a condition of feeling one's emotional and psychological identity as male or female to be opposite to one's biological sex. According to the Mayo Clinic, Body dysphoria is a mental disorder in which you can't stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance and that flaw is either minor or not observable. Now the internet cant diagnoses people but a lot of people in the LGBTQIA community has been agreeing with people that she might have these dysphorias. Some trans people have been trying to reach out to her to get her help to figure out her identity because in the LGBTQIA community many say that they knew they were gay or trans since they were little kids and some people are able to identify themselves but some do need help with figure out there true selves.
After Trisha Paytas posted this she made an apology video that it was her just crying and none of it made sense. Many people think she did this for attention and this is not the first time she has done something like this to get views.
