Selena Gomez released a new song that seems to be throwing shade at Justin Bieber. Gomez's new song called "Lose You to Love Me" was released and got 8.5 million views in 15 hours. Many people speculate that the song has to do with Justin Bieber with many of the words spoken in the song.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber started dating in 2009 with an on-and-off-again relationship that would eventually ended with Justin Bieber getting married to Hailey Baldwin in 2019. Gomez and Bieber were dated from 2009 to 2012 with Bieber rumored to be getting with a Victoria Secret model. Then in 2013 they went on vacation together and were seen together a lot. Later in 2014, Gomez performed the song "The Heart Wants What It Wants" which is about Bieber.
The beginning of the song makes their relationship seem very dark:
"When I was on stage and I was thinking of... I know him, though. I know his heart, and I know what he wouldn’t do to hurt me. But I didn’t realize that feeling so confident, feeling so great about myself and then it just is completely shattered. By one thing. By something so stupid. But then you make me feel crazy, you make me feel like it’s my fault. I was in pain."
Selena Gomez after her relationship ended with Justin Bieber in 2013 went to therapy in 2014 for emotional issues and exhaustion. She went therapy to heal and from what it sounds it was because of Bieber did and who can blame her.
Years later in 2017, they got back together for 6 months and then broke up for good. Bieber got engaged to Hailey Baldwin 5 months after him and Gomez broke up. Later they got married in 2018.
Now with Gomez's new song, it seems like it's about her relationship with Justin Bieber and everyone on the internet agrees. For example, the words in the song that points to this are "we'd always go into it blindly, in two months you replaced me, like it was easy, made me think I deserved it, set fire to my purpose." Many of the words go back to that Bieber rebounded with Baldwin like with "in two months you replaced me" which he got to together with Baldwin after him and Gomez split. With the statement "set fire to my purpose" Bieber had an album called Purpose that had many songs about Gomez in it. The list goes on and on about Gomez referencing Bieber in her new song. Also after Gomez posed her song Hailey Baldwin posted on her Instagram story a screenshot of her listening to "I'll kill you" by Summer Walker featuring Jhené Aiko and people are going crazy over it.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have had a rollercoaster of a life together that is just so insane that at this point it makes sense for her to make all the songs she wants about him. Personally I am hoping that they never get back together ever again because no one will be able to take in more drama from that relationship again and Selena Gomez deserves to be happy for once.
