The Ace family has been trending for two days straight with the hashtags #acefamilycancelled and #acefamilyissoover on Twitter. This is not the first time that this family, mainly Austin McBroom, has been under fire or in controversy. The Ace family is a vlogger family on Youtube made up of the former basketball star Austin McBroom, Catherine Paiz, and their daughters, Elle and Alaïa.
McBroom has basically always been under fire his whole career with all his racist tweets that his fans and his mother saying the tweets is just him joking around and he was young so he didn't mean it. Now McBroom has been accused of sexually assaulting women. YouTuber Cole Carrigan posted a video exposing McBroom.
Carrigan said that he is friends with one of the victim and has messages exposing McBroom of the crimes. This all started with McBroom being accused of cheating on his wife Paiz. Drama Alert was originally going to post about the cheating allegations but the main witness, who is Carrigan's friend, disappeared and Carrigan would not give the number to Drama Alert so he gave them a fake number that tried to start more drama that is to complex to get in to. Then Drama Alert throw away the story and Carrigan made a YouTube video about the assault on October 14th. Carrigan explains that on June 22 he got a call from a friend that was crying and she claims that McBroom raped her. She sent the texts that McBroom sent her and fans sent Carrigan messages that he has sent to other women that seem to show that McBroom is cheating on his wife and has assault other girls. Carrigan then states that Drama Alert was paid $500K by the Ace family to keep quiet but was debunked by texts shown in full that this conversation was a joke and Drama Alert was being sarcastic. Then at the end of the video, he states his intention in posting this video was not to break up the ACE Family or to affect Austin's kids.
The problem with this video is Carrigan has a problem with starting drama that is completely fake. By fans, he has been said to be one that plays the victim but in reality, he is the bully. He has had a controversy with Team 10, Cameron Dallas, Jake Paul that have all been Carrigan trying to start drama.
Some believe that he is lying about the assaults and people have prove. Leslie Hannah Belle, which is one of the girls in Carrigan's story, claimed that he made the video to get the Ace family to pay him off as they did with Drama Alert, but Drama Alert's pay off was fake. She stated on Twitter that she was not raped by McBroom and the story is fake.
The Ace family wrote on Twitter that they are going to be taking legal action on this accusation. This situation seems like a lot of the controversy’s going on the internet right now with people starting beef with other influencers and it just making drama for no reason. Most influencers do this drama stuff to get famous but it seem to just back fire and they get "cancelled" from the internet world.
